Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon is a beautiful spot for taking pictures. As a photographer in fact, I think it is one of my most popular locations that people choose for their photos. Across the road there is an amazing field that is perfect for getting the colors of the fall leaves in the background and taking glowy photos in the spring and summer. Then, down at the reservoir itself you can get a winter wonderland as the water freezes and snow dusts the branches of the pine trees.
From these photos you would never know that we've been having an exceptionally warm winter here in Utah and that most of the reservoir was bordered by lovely brown dirt... First off, Kaycee rocked her session so much and brought all the confidence needed to distract from whatever brown landscapes we may have had in the background. She, and her crew, were also adventurous enough to follow me on a walk all the way around the reservoir, and through the iciest trial ever to exist, to get to the shady side that still had snow on the ground. And boy was it worth it! The snow and ice just added to the magical feel of these photos!
I think the best part of this session was that Kaycee brought her friend and her dad with her to help with wardrobe changes and to offer the relief of her coat whenever that was time in between shots. I think that we all need a hype person in our lives like her friend who stood to the side and built Kaycee up the whole time. I certainly need someone telling me how awesome I look every time I strike a new pose!
Kaycee, I am so excited to share a sneak peek of your photos with you. You seriously were so fun to work with and it was so worth going through the ice to get these amazing shots of you in the snow!
