Engagement Photos with Amazing Fall Colors

My sister called me and said she wanted to take her engagement photos, this is so exciting! Now here's the catch: she said she wanted no snow and to find fall leaves. Fall is gorgeous. I love fall colors. Are there any left at the end of November? All the upcoming sessions I'm planning are looking for snow. But it's my sister so I said we'll find a spot. I guess the youngest really does always get everything.

Of course all the leaves have already fallen at all of my go to spots up in the canyons so we had to venture into town looking for resources like the wild animals we are. The higher up your elevation is the earlier in the year the leaves are going to change and then the earlier they are going to fall. This was even evident going from one side of Provo, Utah to the other. Up the hill by the mountain there were not leaves left, or at least not enough to make for a good background in photos! As I came further down and across town, that more and leaves I was able to find.

We did end up finding a park that still had some leaves left and it turned out to be perfect. There was a cute bridge which always makes for great photos, a beautiful little pond, and the best part-the ducks! There were so many ducks hanging out at the pond and they acted as the perfect models for us! Would I recommend taking fall photos at the last possible weekend of the year? Yes, just look that the glowing beautiful light in these photos!

It was so fun to take Lillian and Howard's photos! I am so excited for you two and can't wait to share all of your amazing photos with you!
